I can't even give a my horses a decent-looking full body clip.

There is no way I would cut my own hair but, I will carefully trim the bangs if they get too long before it's time for a haircut.

Yup. Anything to avoid the inevitable small talk of a hair salon.

A few years back I found a tutorial on how to trim it myself, and add some subtle layers. Super easy: you gather your hair into a pony tail on your forehead (think unicorn horn), then snip straight across the bottom, maybe an inch or two at most. Works like a charm.

I used to but didn't do a very good job, especially in the back...now I go to a one woman barber shop,
she also cuts women's and children's hair, does a great job, uses clippers then wets the hair and cuts
the rest with scissors...I set it at home.

Saves money and time. I have hair that's pretty easy to handle (cutting anyways). I stopped going to salons a year ago and haven't stepped foot in one since.

Nope, I'm particular when it comes to my hair. Mine is very long and I have it trimmed professionally by ONE hairdresser when I'm in the area (as in home). It's hard to beat a great cut!

OTOH, I cut everyone else's hair in the family and have been doing so for circa forty-two years. I do the same for friends on occasion.

Shalom Aleichem,

Mahrie.

I'm surprised so many people cut their own hair. I don't know a single person who cuts their hair in real life. I get a buzz cut every 2-3 weeks for $20 after tip. It doesn't look right if I try to fade it myself.

I've been cutting my hair for years now. My fingers can only hold so much hair, so that's my cutting guide.

No, never. I've trimmed my own bangs before, which was enough to teach me not to do it.

I don't cut my hair at all and have only been to a salon once in my lifetime and besides it costs too much to have anyone cut your hair these days . and then the tip on top of that . If salons had to depend on me they would be out of business LOL ...
