I cannot believe the number of younger women I see with this dried up breaking off hair. Surely, this isn't the fashion. Check your hair products for alcohol and it will make a world of difference. Also, although there may be exceptions, pulling back one's hair tightly will increase the hair loss as one ages. I have seen a lot of severely pulled back and put in elastic bands and then slicked down with gel probably filled with alcohol.
There are products without alcohol in them. That dried up hair adds 10 years to the look of one's face.

The ones I see with hair like that are usually those that dye it over and over again, with those crazy colors. It really looks terrible, no shine and like straw.

Most likely has nothing to do with alcohol in products and everything to do with dye/color, heat tools, the sun, etc.
