i was just wondering if anyone knows if their is a certain mineral in our body that is good for the hair because i am only 16 an my mum has said to me that my hair has gone alot thinner than it used to be and i have also noticed this. i am Anaemic (low iron in the blood) but i dont know if that has got anything to do with it. And is there a shampoo that could be recommended.
i dont use any hair straighteners to do my hair in the morning or anything like that. i just use the hair dryer but that to i just use now and then.
no, there is no shampoo. You need to take vitamins, such a E, A, D, and of course, iron. All a shampoo will do is coat the hair. You need to feed it at the follicle level, which is what taking vitamins will do, and it takes time, remember, the hair will have to grow.
A good diet and exercisse is the best thing you can do for your whole body - hair included! Many women experience "pregnancy hair" - having the most beautiful hair of their lives during the time that they are pregnant. This is due to hormones as well as the fact that most women are also taking better care of themselves during pregnancy - and also taking vitamins.
"Beauty comes from within." It's so true! Not just personality and attitude - but what you eat, too!
Also - stress can cause you to lose hair, and so can caffeine, smoking, certain medications, and alcohol. So perhaps your thinning hair could be related to something like that?
