I recently grew out my hair in a traditional side part, but now it keeps falling into my eyes every 60 seconds. The only product I've ever used is gel, so I picked some up and tried it. The gel holds well, but it looks very unnatural. There were many types of hair products on the shelf that I've never heard of, but I don't want to spend over $100 trying them all out. What type of hair hold product would you recommend to keep my hair on top of my head and out of my eyes, while looking natural. By natural, I mean I don't want my hair to look stiff or too shiny although a little wet is okay. BTW I'm a male with black hair if that makes a difference.

Get a hair stylist to give you a cut that will stay out of your face. Then ask her/him for advice about hair products. But start with a good haircut. This might be pricey, but for what you want, it will be worth it.
I have some sort of cowlick that pretends to be bangs and what I found works better with the gel is to wet my hands and then put a little gel on one hand and rub my hands together and then brush through the stubborn area with my fingers. Then, just leave it alone. Over time, the hair will react better and not be so stubborn or at least that has been my experience.
