I pay $17 plus $3 tip for a simple cut. I go to the cheapest place because the cut is so easy. I color myself.

$60 for a pro color and trim. Not bad for my thick, waist length hair

I go to a pro stylist who now works out of her home. Because she no longer has to pay rent on a chair at a salon, she does hair less expensively and still makes good money. She books up at least one month in advance.

I get my hair cut once or twice a year whether it needs it or not. The cost is $15, and I tip $5, so $20 every 6-12 months.

Me neither. I just prefer to have a professional style my hair. She does a better job than I do.
