Now - clean it up! LOL - I am talking hair - how long should a women in her 50s wear her hair? I have long straight blonde and silver hair that I wear below my bra strap - I get compliments from time to time on my hair and my face is still young looking (good genes) - but I am just interested in a general opinion - its in good condition because I wash it at night and air dry or braid it, so it is very easy to take care of and I like looking "different" - don't like the suburban Mom or Grandma shoulder length bob.
I'm in my fifties and I have no plans to cut my hair! Like you, I like being able to wear my hair in different styles and having it long affords me that opportunity. So rock whatever makes you feel good :-)
I have never seen a law stating anyone has to cut their hair after they turn 50.
My Great Grandmother's hair was 6 inches longer that she was tall and she crossed over in her 90's.
IMO, I don't think women should chop off their hair just because they reach a certain age. If you're happy with the length and cut of your hair...then that's really all that matters.

I am a Grandma soon to be age 60 with I guess I have what you would call a suburban bob style cut, and the reason for this is when my hair gets a millimeter longer than it's current length it looks like a thin scraggily hot mess. You work with what you have, and if long hair for whatever reasons is your personal preference that is all that matters.
For years I have been told to cut my hair. First by my stepmother, then many stylists tried to get me to go short and lastly my mother-in-law. I am 50 and attached to my hair. I cannot ever see myself with short hair. Besides if I did that it would curl up too much and I would look like Little Orphan Annie which is not a good look for me
Wear it how you feel comfortable. Everyone has opinions but only yours matters when it comes to you

I don't understand what age has to do with hair length.
