I like your hair shorter like it is right now and like you showed in the photo. I think it shows off your features and enhances them. I think your son is too young to appreciate a beautiful woman...but that's why God floods us with hormones at 13 My vote is keep it above the shoulder.
I am still voting long, and look at it this way, grow it out a little, not long long, but maybe two inches below color bone, and if you decide you dont like it cut it off!! but I think you will love all the things you will be able to do with it.
This is how I wore my naturally wavy, naturally dark blonde hair for years.
Then when I turned 50 I began wearing it a bit shorter, just felt a little too matronly for the long-locks.

I agree. You have beautiful, delicate features. I think long hair may take away from what the focus should be-those blue eyes!
Since you have very curly hair, having it longer will actually make your eyes and delicate features stand out more, straight hair like mine can be bad for drowning out the features. As long as you dont go too long.
Wow, it's interesting to see all the opinions.
Mrshvo you'll have to let us know your decision (and post pics. )
Nea thanks for the feedback, I'll never be one of those short-short hair ladies, but I felt too old to have hair past my shoulders, never thought I'd feel that way but then I never knew what it would be like to be over 50 either.
