I usually buy my hair dryers from Target, or similar.
I really want a blow dryer that will dry my hair FAST. I know there are some out there that cost an arm and a leg and say they dry your hair fast, but I'm not sure I believe it.
I don't need bells and whistles like a blast of cool or a diffuser, etc.
Indeed, Dyson or Babyliss are well-known and usually suggested for a reason. Both are pricey, but you aren't supposed to buy the most expensive one. It is true that they all come with lots of diffusers and nozzles but if you don't want to pay for these then I would recommend checking Revlon or Conair, here check this review as a reference. I have Conair and it is considered as a semi-professional one, though I got it because it's quiet and fits my travel bag. Both are around $30 I think.

I tried the Revlon one step dryer & volumizing brush & it does an amazing job for at home blow outs at a very reasonable price.
