I am 50 and remember the long hair styles of the 1970s. I had really long hair and looked really silly, but was allowed to wear it so long because my folks wanted me to fit in with the kids at school. I had hair covering my ears and almost to my shoulders. I also had hair that went into my eyes.

Move ahead to year 2007 and I am seeing all kinds of boys with really long hair. It looks just terrible. I see many people who have hair hanging in their eyes and have it down to their shoulders. It looks like Woodstock all over again.

What do you think about the recent trend towards long hair on teenage boys?

Having encountered some nice youngsters with the long hair, it's fine as long as it's not too sloppy, perception depends on their personality more than looks IMO. Still think the earrings thing looks funny though.

Yuck @ guys with long hair. Why do guys want to have long hair when it's more work to care for?

I love long hair on guys as long as it's styled or kept nice. If it's stringy and nasty then no.

If it is clean and well groomed, I *love* long hair on a guy any age.

I am from the 80's heavy metal era and loved guys with long hair. Not all guys can wear it though. But I do have to say when the trend went with shorter hair that looks good also. I am even liking some of the bald look, that is again if they can wear it.

Ooh, does that mean I'm easy
