Has anyone seen those T.V. commericals for a product called Bumpit? A plastic thing you put in your hair to "bump up" the top of your hairdo. They show a tacky looking bleach blonde woman and a bunch of other women with very bad hairstyles wearing them. Are they kidding? Does someone really want to look like Samantha Stevens on drugs?

I do laugh the entire commercial. It is actually one of the few commercials I watch to the end.
another poster mentioned the thing shows through your hair. I would imagine you would have to have extremely thick hair(which I do not) and then the thing wouldn't stay in anyways.
I am in the age bracket this product is marketed to and I don't get the appeal. To each her own?
My older brother actually designed the packaging for that, so every time we're out and we see it on a shelf we make fun of it. The daughter of the [mean] lady who made Bumpits is on the front of the box.... while designing it, my brother superimposed her face onto a horse's body while he and his coworkers jokingly referred to the poor girl as "horse face".
Anyway, ridiculous product. While I hate just the thought of teasing my hair for extra volume, I'd rather do that than waste money on a cheap piece of plastic that's likely to show up through my hair anyway.
