I used it during the "original" go round, late 1970's, early 1980's. I loved the smell, but it was not the best quality shampoo and conditioner. It absolutely could be drying.

I don't know why Clairol does not bring back the ORIGINAL Herbal Essence formulation and scent. I believe it would fly off the shelves.

I had a boyfriend who worked at a dollar store in college and bought Gee Your Hair Smells shampoo, not realizing what it was. As I recall, it was a HORRIBLE reek. Can't understand what anyone saw in it.

I tried 'em all, and then some!

I wouldn't buy Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific now, though, not even for nostalgia's sake. Too expensive!
Flex balsam shampoo.

I've never really gotten why people love(d) it so much, either. Too much.

OMG I loved Flex! Smelled great, too. Used it all the time when I was a teenager.

Thanks for the good memory.

About Prell, they used to say you could shine your floors with it, it was so harsh. I liked the smell when I was very young.
