I have used various thickening shampoos and they all end up making my hair feel clumpy eventually. My hair has been really dry lately so instead of using a clarify shampoo I just switch to baby shampoo for awhile until its too limp for my liking. I put a touch of the thickening and a big glop of the baby shampoo for use lately. This seems to work better than ever!
My hair is naturally curly, fine, but dense. The thickening shampoo gives it a bit of extra volume.

Anyway..what is it in the thickening stuff alone that leads to dry-ish hair and clump city? The baby shampoo also seems to clean better with the thickening added to it.(but it does not get dry with the combo) Why?
