Whats a good shampoo that works for dry scalp? Right now I am using Bed Head Self Absorbed shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels soft but my scalp is really dry.
Or maybe some home remedy that someone can suggest.

Head and shoulders. I also like to rub my scalp with olive oil before getting in the shower in the winter. Coconut oil smells better but I always have OO on hand.

You could always try conditioner washing. use a cheap VO5 conditioner and follow the same instructions they give you for Wen. Just a thought!

I use tree tea shampoos when I have a scalp problem. Sometimes I just mix it with my regular shampoo.

Stop shampooing every day and use baby shampoo. Also, buy a great deep conditioner and use that...and you could always go to a local beauty school and get a scalp massage. It is like a 15 min massage with oil and schools do it for a very cheap price.

I go between Aussie conditioner and Herbal Essences conditioner.
I also use olive oil and castor oil on my hair. Olive oil is VERY conditioning but I'm not sure how it does on non-coarse hair.

I know it's old school but a hot oil treatment works. You can pick up the oil of your choice at Sally's Beauty Supply. Take a warm cup of water then submerge the tub and let it warm up for a few mins. Apply to hair and scalp. Let soak in for around 5 mins or as directed on the tube. Wash hair as normal, but don't wash hair in TOO hot of water. Hot water dries your scalp out. And use less conditioner in your hair as you hair will be soft from the oil.

All good suggestions, thanks! I forgot about the hot oil treatments. I used them years ago. I don't wash my hair everyday, and I have learned not to shower with hot water. Can dry out your skin as well.

I take fish oil, cranberry and acidophilus capsules every day which makes a huge difference to the condition on my scalp and I wash my hair with Body Shop Ginger Shampoo and condition with their Honey Conditioner. I've tried a lot of shampoos and conditioners including the more expensive salon stuff for dry scalp and I've never really been happy with the results.
If I want an alternative I occasionally wash my hair with Lush Godiva shampoo bar and condition with their American Cream.
Oh and I probably should add that I take a hair, nails and skin capsule which also helps with the condition of my hair and scalp. I've not been able to find it here so have just bought some Biotin and will give that a try.
