I haven't, in fact, I hadn't even heard of this til reading your post. But I did just look up reviews that mention them, & now I think I want a Brazilian Blowout, too!
I have had it and it is fabulous! My hair never looked or felt healthier! I have found a shop in my area that does the BBO for $200.00 (Including products)...I think the 250- 500 is a rip off....They charge it b/c people don't know any better...
I had the Cadiveu keratin treatment (basically a Brazilian Blowout) in Brandon Hair Studio in San Francisco. This keratin treatment is a miracle and the price was super reasonable - especially for my crazy mop of long hair. If you have never had Brillo pad long hair then you may laugh at my description of this as a miracle but it truly is to me. lol
I had the Brazilian Blowout treatment about 1 year ago in another salon and they used the formaldehyde formula. That stuff needed the stylists to wear respirators and have giant fans blowing on me and I probably took a few years off my life. All that and the treat didn't work at that other salon.
I went in this morning with a mop of bushy coarse frizz and walked out with hair that feels like silk... with no product or flat ironing in it it at all. Amazing!!
I have had the Coppolla Keratin treatment done, cost about $350 in NYC. Well worth every penny. I decided against the Brazilian Blow Out because of the super high amounts of formaldehyde in a lot of tests. Ive heard it smells pretty strong, and that stylists are told they should wear a venilation mask. The Copolla didn't smell at all. The Brazilian Blow Out is "cured" the day of the treatment, whereas the Copolla needs to rest unmolested for three days (no water, no clips etc). I assue that the Brazilian is stronger and lasts longer, given these comparisons. That said, I am black with super curly-kinky hair, and the Copolla worked beautifully on me.
