My bf was tearing down an old shed and came across some very old stuff..among them a newspaper dated Bombay May 19, 1947. Its the Evening News of India, all in english? LOL

Its all yellowed now of course, its very brittle. I put it in a ziplock bag to prevent any further damage. Im not a history buff or anything, but it strikes me that this may be worth something?

We'd like to get it appraised. Don't think Antique Road Show is coming here anytime too soon (lol) so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on where to take this and have it looked at?

Any ideas?

Wendy

Go to your local library and ask them. They may be able to help or refer you to someone who can help you.

Try out Phoebus Auction Gallery on Mellen Street in Hampton. William Welch is a top notch appraiser and helped me immensely with valuations when I had to clean out my Father's garage (he was the consumate pack rat). He also knows his limits and has a exstensive network of appraisers in his black book that specailize in areas he is not comfortable giving valuations on-722-9210-take the Ft. Monroe exit when you leave the tube-three blocks down on the corner-great people there! Good for consignments too!
