I'm looking for a cool bar or nightclub that attracts an older crowd - late 20's to mid 30's. Anyone know any good places?

That is older compared to what i've seen when I go out....everywhere i try is filled with 21 year olds. So late 20's to mid 30's is older. I don't want to hang out with children. Thanks for your helpful reply.

Sorry to be flip... old folks like me (in my 40's and still mistaking myself foryoung enough for fun), simply don't know the cool places.

We enjoy Abby Road Pub. The other places are just too "hot tuna" and a bit stuffy. Abby has some great local bands to enjoy.

I don't think I really mentioned any "stuffy" places. Lunasea can be a little club-ish but I always liked seeing Jesse Chong play there and other local bands. There is also a volleyball net out back. Abby Road can be a fun place, too!

There are plenty of little "dive" places around that are actually more fun than some of the upscale establishments. I would stay away from "The Block" @ the Oceanfront though. Never really cared for that part of the beach. I always saw it as the equivalent to Waterside in Norfolk.... too many creepers.

If you're into a bar or club scene with an older crowd, you can try The Broadway in Norfolk, or Upscale in Virginia Beach.
