My husband and I are moving to the area in a few months and we're looking for a safe community to live. He's in the AF so we're looking at places right off base, so the commute won't be so bad. We need a place that allows dogs, we have a lab mix that's 30lbs. We were wondering what the crime rates were and how the neighborhoods were.

We're looking at keeping the rent under 900.

Any help would be amazing.

Thank you.

Hi HelenH90!

I am a Realtor with EXIT Real Estate Solutions (new to city-data.com), but would love to help. I did a quick search on my website (www.KaeraMims.com) and found a few properties based on the search you mentioned. I would need some further information - bedroom amount, square footage, single family home vs. condo/apartment - that kind of thing. Feel free to email me (Kaera@KaeraMims.com) or call me (757-739-2003) directly and I would be happy to help further!

Any place you find, you can contact the local police department (Hampton is (757) 727-6111 for more information) to find out the information on crime rates and what is going on in the neighborhood.

Hope this helps!

Kaera

You may want to look at any complex off Magruder Blvd/Hampton Hwy (Rt. 134.) Very safe area, very close to Langley. I think Spinnaker Cove off Semple Farm Rd is pretty cheap.

Here is the page.
