Woman robbed at red light | wavy.com | virginia beach

Crooks aren't supposed to be in our sweet little Kempsville robbing people, period, or in broad daylight for that matter.

Bring it, thugs. I can squeeze off about 3 rounds per second. And I'm definitely always packing around here from now on.

Ya know, this can happen anywhere and I am glad that they don't allow people to beg for money on the medians anymore. I never did accept those standing there with a sign "will work for food," when all they want is money to support their habits that they won't work for or can't hold a job to do because of their habits.

I drive through there all the time!! My doors lock automatically, but I can say if someone messed with my door handle I'd flip and probably cause a wreck!! Plus I almost always have my son in the car, and I know he'd freak out if someone tried to get in our car. Too bad those red light cameras didn't catch it. I wonder if the Walgreens or the gas station have any video of the incident.

But, but, but, how did they get to Virginia Beach? Me no comprehend. Light rail isn't in VA Beach. That's how criminals get there. There must be some mistake. No way this could happen in VA Beach. Nooooooo way.

I don't know if there is any truth to this, but my friend was telling me a story where, here in Hampton Roads, a woman was approached by a man at a gas station asking her for money. She gave him a few dollars and he shook her hand. While driving she phoned her friend and described how she felt like passing out. Her friend told her to drive to the nearest public place, which was another gas station, and as soon as she walked through the front door, she fainted. Later they found out her hand had puncture wounds on it, and she had been drugged.

I don't know if these are true, but regardless, it could happen..

If I were to get my own gas you can bet I would use my card (I never carry cash), and if I did carry cash you can bet I wouldn't give it to a stranger at a gas station.

no idea, it was a word of mouth thing. It could happen though, right, so why not be aware.

Where is there a gas station in sand bridge? I guess by 3 oaks or Lag o mar pizza. Oh course a woman called and said she was the person who was attacked, but she wants no attention. Well accept for the attention she gets from calling. Oh and the attention from the hospital who could find nothing wrong with her. Oh and I'm sure she's getting lots of attention from her family. WTH is wrong with people. First, son't give away your money. Second, of you let someone you don't know that close you're letting them to close.
