We are moving to Chesapeake. Read through some ordinances and it seems that one livestock animal is allowed per quarter acre of land in Chesapeake. Does this also apply to chickens? I would hope not, since they're considerably smaller than most other livestock animals. Our situation is that we'd want to get two to three hens (not roosters) for egg-laying next spring. Lot is .23 acres.
