Hi everyone,

I will possibly be moving to Virginia Beach, VA and will be visiting in the next 2 weeks to check out the area. I have visited before but this time it will be mostly to look around. The area I am focused on is in zip code 23454, only because that is where I have a little bit of a support system. I'm hoping some current VAB residents can point me in the right direction to start my search.

I'm hoping to find a nice townhome (2br with a den/office or 3br) that has some yard space and is under 300k. What neighborhoods should I be looking at? I like neighborhoods that are diverse in terms of ethnicity and family structure. I don't want to be in a secluded area, but don't really want an apartment or to feel like I'm crowded. I will be driving from one client to another and will have some say in what areas I service so I I have some flexibility in terms of location as long as it is within the 23454 zip code and surrounding areas. Is this feasible for under 300k? What about renting? I would like to rent first. Any communities that have both rentals and townhomes for sale? Any areas I should avoid?

Thanks in advance for your help!

It is definitely feasible to find a home for what you're looking for there. That's a nice area, just north of "Hilltop". I would go eat curry every day at one place I kinda like...

Why not move to 23456? You're just two lousy numbers off from having something awesome be your zip code.
