I'm about to register my child here... BUT Also have option of registering at New Castle (mom lives in district and she's my daycare provider).

I think either one would be good, but need some feedback.

He'll be going to 1st grade (went to private K) and would like to know the teachers feedback there.

Anyone know the teachers that are there for first grade?

Thank you!!

Hi Brandi. I cannot speak to Glenwood Elementary. So, I am not knocking it. But I do know something about New Castle. My sons, who are going into 3rd and 1st grades, are New Castle students and we absolutely loved our first year there. In my experiences so far with my kids schooling, I have found that their teachers rarely meet my expectations. Admittedly, they are very high. But, the two teachers we had last year were great. And, it's a very welcoming and open environment at the school. We couldn't be happier.

I don't know any of the first grade teachers at New Castle and maybe we won't be as lucky next year with the teachers we get. But, if last year is any indication, I have no hesitation in recommending New Castle. Feel free to PM me if you have any additional questions. Good luck!

Thank you, I've had a few friends that are attending that school. Only downside would be that when my son goes to this school and they go to middle, all his friends would go elsewhere. So It's a tough decision.

My expectations were/are high as well when it comes to schooling. But private schools are too expensive.
