My husband's birthday is coming up and I'd like to go to a restaurant with a water view. If no view, we would at least like to walk on the beach/bay afterwards (in hopefully a quieter area) We live in the Pembroke area of VB. I have unfortunately heard nothing but bad reviews of Alexander's. Too bad since the location is ideal! I've never been to Lynnhaven Fish House, but we're not really the fried-fish-and hushpuppy type.
Thanks!

Watermans has a nice view, and really good food.

Lynnhaven fish house is not a fried fish and hushpuppies kind of place. It has a great view and access to a beach afterward along with good to great food. It is expensive relative to other tidewater restaurants.
Check their menu out on their website

I'm just not sure LFH is going to have the ambience we are looking for, Gregir. I am imagining a crowded bustling noisy place with a lot of seniors and families. True?

It is a fine dining restaurant with excellent ambiance. I think very few families or folks on a limited budgets eat there. It is a candlelight and excellent service kind of place.

My family and I ate at Rockafellers and watched fresh seafood coming off the boat from the inlet.
