So, what did you think of them holding it later this year? I can imagine the cooks at the tents were enjoying the break from the extreme heat they usually have to endure. I am not aware of any reason that they had to hold it later than usual.

Personally, I liked the cooler weather. It made walking around a lot more enjoyable. Sure were a lot of people on that boardwalk though. But I guess that's good for the festival.

I was down that weekend and enjoyed seeing everything from the walkers/runners, to the parade and the Neptune Festival. The boardwalk was very full. All of the dogs were so cute and well behaved, especially the well dressed potential adoptees.

The food vendors were very good choices but, the merchants selling trinkets, etc. could have been better. Too much seaside stuff. The bands were all good and the areas chosen for stage setup were perfect for listeners to sit and lay out on the grass. I enjoyed warm weather but the 60's was great for this kind of event.
