We live in the Grassfield H.S. district in Chesapeake that's very good. The elementary school is Cedar Road. Having a tough time meeting people here for some reason though...

I also live in the Grassfield HS zone, my younger child goes to Grassfield Elementary. It is a very good zone. Great Bridge and Hickory HS zones in Chesapeake are also very good. If you are asking about what schools earn a 10 on the Great Schools site, the answer would be none. That score only uses test scores into consideration, which doesn't give you a full view of the school and it's environment.

Oh and hi navywife123! How old are your kids?

We will be pcsing to Langley next month. I agree a 10 does not necessarily mean the best school. Where we are now my kids have gone to a 10 and a 7. I preferred the 7, friendlier, just as good an education, teachers were less stressed because they weren't pressured to only teach on the test materials.

The best high school in Virginia Beach (and Hampton Roads) is Princess Anne. The next best HS is VB are Cox, First Colonial, and Kellam.
One of the best elementary schools is Thoroughgood (feeds to Princess Anne.)
Good luck!
