I was doing a little search through these forums, and it seems there is a bit of history of Williamsburg-related threads being incorrectly posted in the Richmond forum. I'm guessing many of these users are unaware of the Census Bureau's definitions for Metropolitan Statistical Areas, since Williamsburg is in the Hampton Roads MSA, not the Richmond MSA.

I was wondering, does anyone think there should be a sticky thread in the Richmond forum advising that all Williamsburg-related threads should be in the Hampton Roads forum?

Furthermore, I think the forum description for Hampton Roads should add Williamsburg to the list of cities.

It would have been helpful to me, since I had to dig around to see where Williamsburg threads were located. there are threads just under "Virginia" as well. I think adding Williamsburg to the list would be great!

I think if anything Williamsburg should have a sub-forum in the Hampton Roads section and a link to it at the top of the Richmond forum.

Williamsburg isn't HR to me, but it isn't Richmond, either. Williamsburg is distinctly, well, Williamsburg.

I don't think there are enough threads to make a Williamsburg subforum viable. We should just stick to Census Bureau MSA definitions, where Williamsburg is considered part of the Hampton Roads MSA.

I think just like Yorktown, Grafton, and Poquoson, Williamsburg is the red-headed step-child no one wants. We are that "middle child" that gets ignored a lot when it comes to the local news stations and also apparently on message board forums. I guess that could also mean we are so unique, we are in a "class" all our own.
