Wow, haven't been to Munden Point in a long time! When I was a kid, my dad had this old, beat up jet-ski and we'd go there and ride around. I remember feeling like it was SOO far away.

A little over 5hrs each way from my house to IKEA. Usually the reason is to go to IKEA and we don't want to deal with the NOVA traffic and craziness.

Wake up early, get on the road, get there by 11 and go to Ikea, late lunch in uptown with friends, hang out at Frazier Park for a while, then back on the road... usually home before midnight.

Of course we prefer to make it a weekend trip when we can, but sometimes schedules only permit a quickie. haha

Why not? We day trip to WV to snowboard all the time. Nothing like waking up early AM near the beach spending a day in the mtns then back home within 24 hours!

Definitely, those Ski World trips to Snowshoe are great. Just sleep on the bus, when you wake up you are there and the slopes are just opening.
