What do you guys think of the local wines? I know Williamsburg has a winery, and I think there are a few others too. So, how's the wine?

I'm not a big fan of many VA wines, but things like that are really a very personal preference.

LOL I'm getting the feeling local wines are mostly sold to tourists. Good to know.

That's not entirely the case. Horton's Vineyard in the western part of the state has really good wine. There are a bunch of vineyards west of HR. They're aren't many that are directly local to HR but take a weekend to go west ...especially in the Fall. Perfect time to go.

Every year there is a wine fest at Town Point Park in Norfolk. One is in May and another in October that only showcase VA wines for tastings. It's a blast and I always tell people to go if they can. Live music, wine and great view on the water...what more could you want! ha~
