I get off the school bus and I'm walking down the street with my brother. My friend has an airsoft M9 Berreta and lets me take a look at it. I aim down the sights and shoot it (dry). It had decent vertical recoil, but horizontal recoil was rather strong on the right. I put the M9 by my side and the cops sped up behind me, my bro and two friends of mine. They drew out their guns and cursed at us to get on the ground. Will I face a class 1 misdemeanor? I'm a juevnille, and they released me from custody on the scene. Also, will I get suspended from school, since I never got to go home before the incident occured?

I'de appreciate it if anyone doesn't respond saying "My god you're dumb" or "You should of known better"

I need information regarding what had happened, not how you felt about the situation to be honest.

Were you arrested? If not you likely won't be charged later. If they alert your school you might face some repurcussions there.

A question you should ask yourself: why are under cover officers on my street?

A lesson you should take away: don't point even air guns at things out on the street.

Sorry, but it needs to be said: you were dumb and obviously weren't thinking. In a different situation (at night, you're slow to repond) you could have been shot.

The officers were in a SUV I did not see them, some lady had complained about it yesterday to the police (I know this because the officer had a big mouth). So the cops were ready, they were on their way to the scene when the lady complained again. other people have had "airsoft wars" and no one was ever caught because no one complained. I held it for 10-15 sec, I was just extremely unlucky.

You should probably consult an attorney and avoid posting about a possible crime in a public forum.

If they released you right there without arrest, you got off with a warning.

Next time, don't fire something out in public like that. It's not very smart.

The cops most likely will charge you. In most cases when it is a misdemeanor crime involving juveniles the cops will release you and then go down a day or two later and have a petition taken out to be served on you (it's like a warrant for adults). Then both you and your parents get to go to court.... As far as what the school does.... This did not occur on school property so I don't think they will get involved.

Actually they can. Anything fighting, guns, whatever that happens from the time you leave your house in the morning until the time you get home after school can be punished at school. Just depends on if it is reported to the school.

Waving something that looks like a weapon, during the day, on a public city street, moments off a school bus, is stupid. Why do you need to have what happened explained? The question and the answer are one in the same. You were brandishing a weapon.

Were you arrested? Were you issued a citation? Do you have a court date? If the answer to these questions is no then you're likely getting off with a warning. However, it is still possible a summons could arrive at your door in a few days. If it does then you'll need an attorney.

Next time leave the handgun looking Airsoft 9mm the hell at home or you might get shot.

This sounds like a joke! You sound like you made all this up for sure.
You can't be serious about this as you were lucky you were not shot and killed if this is even true.
