I'm currently working on my BSN/RN and was wondering what kind of job market I will be facing in the coming months in the Newport News-W'burg area. I hope to work in a hospital. I am also pre-accepted into a MSN/Nurse Practitioner program which I plan to begin shortly after completing my BSN. Open to rural area nearby.

Also my sister is a elementary teacher and she will be looking also (she lives with us and will be graduating in May with her license).

We would love to know what the job market is like for RN's and Teachers in the area.

Thanks.

The two largest hospitals are Sentara and Riverside. Riverside seems to have a few openings , far more than Sentara.

There are always a few teacher positions opening up each year due to retirements but competition is strong .
