so i am considering a relocation to VA for a job at sentara princess anne, We have a family of 4 with two kids ages 4 and 5 this summer. what is a great family area to look at for houses and safe areas with great schools for the kids, that is a close run to the hospital since i am on call most nights. Not sure most likely just renting for now to make sure we like the area, lived in S.C, and loved it so it should be simular. maybe

any info on the hospital itself is good too, went through what was here in city data but it is all pretty old news stuff.

Thanks

Can't say too much about the hospital except that it has been continually growing. As for locations, lots of neighborhoods to chose from. I live in Courthouse Estates, off North Landing Road. Not too far at all and there are houses to rent in this area. Lots of neighborhoods around to rent in.

thanks ted, are those newer neighbor hoods? i do like newer homes with garages and amentities, not so much HOA type areas but areas with other friendly families.

if i was searching what do i look for, is there a town name or is it just hampton roads, there does seem to be plenty of rentals on craigs list.

i expect to be down there visiting next week so the more i can do ahead of time makes the trip more productive.

appreciate it

That hospital is located in Virginia Beach. That is the city name. Almost every newer neighborhood around here has an HOA.

I love Sentara Princess Anne for the most part. It's only a few minutes from my house, and all of my doctors have offices in the complex. My only issue is the time I had to wait in the ER with a collapsed lung and broken ribs 4 days after surgery because I was incorrectly assessed. The subsequent hospital stay was good as hospital stays go. The doctors and nurses were awesome, and I had a nice big private room.
