We own an Australian Shepherd who is 7 months old. In need of areas to let him run and play, maybe some agility classes. Any info would be appreciated.
thanks

I do not live in the area yet, but I just had to ask: Is your Aussie a tri-color or a blue merle? I own 2 Aussie Cattle Dog mixes (blue merle) and an Aussie Shepherd mix (tri-color). I love those dogs.

I've only been to the area once but wanted to say that Cattle Dogs ROCK!

Default Dog Parks, Agility Classes and Boarding suggestion,,,

Michelle, Welcome to Va Beach.

For Dog play there is an off-leash dog park at Redwing City Park in Va Beach off of General Booth Blvd.

Also, check out the “All Breed Dog Meetup Group”: [url=http://activedogs.meetup.com/40/]The Tidewater All-Breed Dog Lovers Play Group (Chesapeake, VA)
Sign up. It’s free and fun. Their next meetup is at Chesapeake City Park, off-leash dog park, Sunday Nov 11, 1:00 PM.

Agility classes: Family Dog Club, Agility Boarding & More - HOME

Try Shamrock Dog Sitter. Your Dog will stay in the home of one of their sitter families. They will be part of their family and most have dogs to play with. There are NO kennels or cages, just a family home to stay in while your dog is on their vacation. You send your dog's info, eating, sleeping, meds, playing habits, etc. You send their food, doggie bed if you have one, toys, etc. It is like your dog staying at a neighbosrs house for their vacation. They also come and pick up your dog and return them after you come back home.

I have used them for two years and am one of their sitters as well.

You must call ahead of time especially for the first time so they can see if your dog is compatable in this type of environment. Their prices are comparable to kennels but the service is unmatched. You can call and check on your pet anytime to check in as well.

For more info, call the owner, Katy Mahoney,,, 757-617-1541. Best time to call is before 12 noon. Tell her you were referred by Buffalo Bob.

You will not regret using them.

Hope this info helps you out.

Buffalo Bob

Default Several solutions

Hi, Hunt Club in vb has a training facility, but I LOVE Holly Ridge Manor. They offer day care, which is open play with other dogs while you are out working or shopping. They also offer boarding. They would be the resource that I would use to connect you with the right people for agility or basic training.

you'll find their website here: HOME
