I would like to purchase repurposed wood in order to build a fence for my backyard garden. I am looking for scrap wood, scrap metal, old screen doors, basically anything ecclectic that would bring charm. I am new to VA and wondering if Suffolk or surrounding cities have such a place open to the public. Thanks in advance.

You could check the Habitat for Humanity's Restore store. There is one in Newport News. From the reviews online, it's hit or miss. They have stores in Franklin & Va. Beach too.

Definitely check out Country Boy Antiques in Norfolk. It's more of a salvage store than anything else.
