Hampton Blvd, Colley Ave, Colonial Ave, Princess Anne Rd are all areas that flood during heavy rain. Granby Street is usually the street used for detour. But even with the floods I LOVE NORFOLK.

Congratulations on your pending marriage and excellent choice of places to live! If I lived closer to the beach I would like living in FL a lot more than I do. We are landlocked in central florida and get all the heat and humidity without the benefit of the water breezes.

I'm still uncertain, does Ghent Square flood?

Thanks Gator Girl! I am very excited about the impending move. I know that it will be HOT in the summer time even on the Gulf but I will tolerate it a few months out of the year! The good thing is that even in the NW part of FL you still get a taste of the change of the seasons! It not quite as hot as S. Florida - I don't think I would want to live in S. Florida anyway.

I am not to familiar with Ghent Square as to whether or not it floods though.......sorry.
