Kroger & Harris Teeter Stores Merges!
Just thought that I would post that Harris Teeter and Kroger stores are merging. We don't shop at HT stores except for their Super Doubles coupon events. Kroger recently eliminated double coupons in some regions (i.e. Houston, TX, Cincinnati, OH, Southern California, and Mid-Atlantic states). So Kroger may still have some higher priced groceries--we shall see!

See below for details--enjoy!

When we lived in metro Atlanta, GA area, I shopped at Kroger and shopped its sales using coupons, etc. You shop where the best prices, food sources, etc. are available for your budget and family's needs. We also have a large farm now in N VA area, so we don't have to buy as much food.

Word that Krogers is Merging with HT. I rely on a lot of HT products when I'm in HR-tho' I do buy some items at FoodLion. Any news on this down your way?

When I lived in VB I shopped at Kroger on the Blvd all the time because it was convenient and had decent prices. It seems now they are trying to compete with Food Lion or something with all the coupons and specials. I noticed the HT across the street recently expanded. I went in just to look around and it looked nice inside.
