I'm in the market for new tires. In Texas I loved Discount Tires. They offered outstanding prices, excellent customer service, and even repaired your tire if you have a nail or an unexpected hole for the remainder of time the tires are on your vehicle. There isn't one close by so I'm looking for a plan B.

I'm in the Williamsburg area and refuse to go to Merchant's Tire. Time and time again of bad experiences there. Any suggestions?

Thanks folks!

I've had great luck with Costco for tires. They include free rotation and flat repairs.

I ordered through Tire Buyer last time,
Buy Tires and Wheels Online. Free Shipping Available. | TireBuyer.com

and had them mounted and balanced at the Wally World.

Saved me about $200 and I got very good tires.

Stay away from treadquarters. I've had several bad experiences. For tires and general mechanic work.

Humm we've gotten tires for 2 different trucks at tread quarters on Indian River Rd with no issue other than needing to drop off and come back to pick up. The price by far is the lowest we were able to find, and no issues with service. If anything they need a bigger building/lot because the place is always busy.

I went to the one on Independence and they left a plastic can in my car after an oil change! I had also had them replace a starter in my car and two weeks later, my car wouldn't start. I took it to a specialist who showed me the fact that the mechanic didn't fix the rubber tubing on the wires, which caused the problems with the new starter once it rained and things got wet. The specialist was like "any mechanic would have known to fix the $0.50 tubing...." So I had to pay once again to replace a starter!

Generally, I say avoid them for everything. Including tires. I don't care if they're cheaper.

I only go there for tires. Seems odd to get other work done there. Kinda like asking a podiatrist to check your heart.

Ummm. Not really. They employ certified mechanics and offer automotive services.

Costco. I no longer live in Tidewater, but when I return to visit , one time I got a flat tire. I went to Costco just like I do in my hometown here, and they always do good work. They also rotate and fix flats for the life of the tires like Ted said.
