I am looking to move to Norfolk from Charleston SC. Anyone that I ask about rehabbing a home in Park Place or Olde Huntersville thinks that I have lost my mind. Has anyone done that? Des anyone live i the Norfolk city area that can shed some light on this?
I want an old house, built prior to 1940, hardwood floors-even if they are covered with carpet or are in rough shape, small kitchen without any walls torn down-I don't want an old house that someone tried to modernize, clawfoot bathtub and fish scale mansards would make me pass out from sheer joy.
Also, has to be on a bus line, close to the beat of the city. I'm looking for any knowledge about rehabbing, living in Norfolk city, Norfolk bus lines....etc...

I found this online. Maybe if you dig around on this website, you'll find some useful info.
