I did some searching and didn't find anything that specifically addresses this. I appreciate any advice from people local to the area, or anyone who may know.

I have a chance to interview at Colonial Williamsburg. I'd be moving down from another area and wouldn't be able to get an apartment right away.

What's the chance of getting a reasonable room, for example, renting a guest room in a house, for a reasonable price, let's say for several hundred a month.

I really only need a place to sleep that is within walking distance.

Thanks.

Although I dont work in the rental market , expect to pay more like $400+ to rent a room. You can search for room mates wanted on the William and Mary off campus housing website. The College of William & Mary | Off Campus Housing Search | Property | Search
YOu dont have to be a student to use it. Simply register and then search. Might try Craigslist as well. Search Hampton Roads area and then put Williamsburg in
Good luck

Mr. W,

Now I know why they call you that! Thanks so much; I saw some of your other posts when searching for an answer and said to myself, "I hope this gent answers my inquiry."

I was not aware that W & M was near the site. This is great info, and that's the price range I'm looking for.

Thanks again!
