To anyone who could help:

I'm thinking about moving to this area(Respass Beach Rd) . It's beautiful and seems to be a nice neighborhood; however, I have heard from multiple sources that it is not too good a neighborhood and has gangs. I drove through after work last week and thought NO WAY this is a bad area .Is anyone familiar with this area?

If you do a Google search using the terms: Burbage Grant VA gangs - it will come up with articles about arrests of gang members in this area, but the articles are a couple of years old. Have you been on the HOA website of Burbage Grant HOA?

my boyfriend lives in suffolk... i asked him about the area (he's lived in suffolk for the past 15 years or so) and if he would live there.... he said "yes, it's not a bad place..."

with that said, drive through any area at night and see if there is a difference. in suffolk, i thought college square was nice because it was nice during the day/evening.... but when i went at night, it was completely different.... "like night and day"

I would say the neighborhoods on the east side of respass beach are just a little bit better than those on the west, but neither one seems bad. I think you get a lot for your money in this area of town and would be happy to live there myself.
