So Both The Hampton Roads Metropolitan Area of Virginia & The Research Triangle Metropolitan Area of North Carolina both have populations over 1 million people which of these two Metropolitan Areas do you think has a better Economy/job market & better opportunites & why do you think so??? Thanks

each depends on certain industries that folks are in and there's no real blanket statement to be made on which is better/stronger when it comes to the job market. both rely on different industries.

The Triangle job market has more promise but the Hampton Roads area is a much more interesting place to live.

Personal preference. Looks like Wake County is North Carolina's answer to Fairfax County in Virginia. Demographically, they both look to be the same (HR to Research Triangle). On paper they look to be the same, might be cultural differences between the two I am not aware of.

The job market in HR is centered around military, tourism, and shipping (VIT). The economy of the triangle is more technology and medical revolving around Research Triangle Park and the three major universities. (NCSU, UNC, and Duke).

If I had to choose which one was "better" it would be the Triangle because of higher paying jobs and lower cost of living.
