We are thinking of buying a home in Chincoteague. Does anyone know what, if anything, the recent storms (Hurricane Sandy etc) have done to home insurance premiums there? Also I saw on one thread that they are thinking of building a hospital either on the island or nearby. I believe the closest one now is at least 45 minutes away. Thanks!

I'm not really sure about storm damage. There was not really much damage to this area, but Chincoteague is about 75 miles away. Check out this
