What about Runaway Bay, Thalia Gardens or Legends at the Beach?

We lived at the new side of legends at the beach. They were nice but there was a lot of jet noise.

I feel like runaway bay is overpriced when you take the amenities into account. Less square footage. If I were to pick of those three, I think Thalia gardens is nicest.

I lived on the other side of that park, in Salem Woods. It was a nice, safe middle class area when I was there.

So after doing some research and finding some stuff out, I am between 3 apartment complexes

- Woodshire Apartments 149 S Budding Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23452

- Runaway Bay Apartments 100 Runaway Bay Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23452

- Pembroke Lake Apartments 700 Moraine Ct, Virginia Beach, VA 23455

Any other thoughts on these?

I've lived in all but Woodshire.

Liked living at Pembroke Lake. It was mixed .mil and family. Good sense of community.

Runaway bay, a bit more pricey, but generally an older, more mature crowd. Thin walls.

It was years ago, TBH.

Pembroke lakes skirts the Aragona line, but was pretty ok. I was in ROTC so went to PA, but all my Bayside buddies had issues. If you don't have kids/a family, I am sure it would be fine.

Things might very well have changed, I can't say for the better or worse, but, with the VB economy, the areas involved, I can't really imagine the change to be that much.

Runaway Bay was on the other side of the tracks (VB BLVD). It tended to be a bit better. . .minus construction woes. They now have the whole Downtown VB cookie cutter thing now, but I am sure that might have helped pack a better population into that area.

This is all just my $.02. Your mileage may vary.
