In VB we shop at:
Wal Mart for certain items mostly non perishables, hate the long lines and produce.
Farm Fresh for meat specials, ice cream and produce/salad bar. Close, quick and convenient and friendly.
Food Lion/ Bloom meat & specials.
Trader Joes in Newport News for all our frozen fish, wine, and sauces

I live in Norfolk and drive out to Trader Joes in Newport News. The prices for organic foods are the best around. Farm Fresh is nice but the cost is more. I just got a box of organic kids cereal at TJ's and it was $2.49, the same box was $4.19 at Farm Fresh!!!
I also go to Costco for all my organic bulk veggies, bread, eggs, milk things like that.

It would be great if they put a Trader Joe's in Norfolk...or at least on this side of the water. It can be alot crossing thru the tunnel for just a grocery store...but I love Trader Joe's. And I noticed about the cereal as well..I think it was some rice puff type cereal. I love their frozen desserts, wines, juices, produce, breads, frozen fish, trail mix, sauces, etc...

Costco and BJ's are also good places to shop

I think it's just a matter of time until Trader Joes comes to the southside. I think one may land in VB near or in the Town Center area.
