why not just replace the NSS? i replaced mine on a 93 volvo using a youtube video and it wasn't that difficult.

Your case shows exactly why the VA "safety" inspection program is a complete joke.

First, it's not a safety issue, but I too have no doubt you'll fail. Second, even if it were a safety issue, if you lived in a state without inspection, you're still perfectly fine to drive your vehicle into VA, thus "endangering" other drivers.

How is that not a safety issue. It's a safety switch for a reason.
