I have been on the Virginia beach section 8 waiting list since 2012. I was tring to find out how much longer I'm estimate to wait for me to be able to be approve or at least start the move in process. Iv looked all over the Internet and can't find any information on a length of time .I've also called the section8 office, but They just gave me the run around. So I'm just wondering if anyone has been through the process or knows someone who has, and about how long they had to wait. Also if anyone knows any near by section8 location that mite have a shorter wait time? Thank you

Norfolk is accepting housing applications now. But like VA Beach, it'll be a while to get a voucher.

I know someone that's been on it since 2012 and is disabled, and they're still waiting. With the bad economy and budget, it'll probably be years...
