Hi, family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids) moving to VB in July. I have been looking at renting and am looking for any tips. We are looking for townhouse recommendations. Our Monthly budget is ~$1300 a month. Also, is there anything important we should keep an eye out for/area's that are more family friendly?

Thanks for any replies!

We are an area that must deal with bridges and tunnels which can slow traffic down, especially in the summer. So where you will be working should be a consideration. A quick look at the Multiple Listing System this morning show 40 plus townhomes on the market for 1300 or less. Some with 3 bedrooms...other with 2 bedrooms. It would be obviously helpful if you were able to come for a weekend before July to get a sense of the area. If you care to DM with an email address, other requirements (like you have a pet or special school requirements etc.) I would be happy to send the properties currently in the system. Good luck with your move.

I know a friend of mine is moving into a townhouse in Strawbridge area that is 3 beds, and they are paying a bit over $1600/month, so it really will depend on your priorities and what you're looking for if your budget will get you where you want to be here. General recommendations for families/schools are to avoid the Bayside and Green Run areas. Most of VB is very family-friendly, and most of the schools are good.
