Hello, I don't know if this is in the correct section, but does anyone have opinions about the 55+ community, Colonial Heritage or if there are other options for a senior community? Thank you.

Hi. Ill try to help but hopefully a local will add thoughts. We toured Colonial Heritage. Liked it but prefer a smaller community. It's a very large community off of Richmond Rd. There is another 55+ called Settlement at Powhattan. It's smaller and in a more quiet area. That being said, Williamsburg seems to have many retirees. We have not made a decision as of now. We wish there were more condo type neighborhoods for 55+ in the area. There are condos in New Town but we don't want to live in a shopping district. Good lock with your search.

I'm in New Town and love it! It's not a 55+ community. I'm away from the shopping and its very quiet.

Williamsburg has many retirees. People are very friendly.

I know I’m a bit late but just haven’t looked or posted on this forum in quite some time. To the original poster if you’re looking for insight into the neighborhood I’d be happy to connect you with people that live there I have sold homes in that neighborhood since 2005 I think I sold 10 homes there last year every single person that I’ve worked with has loved it there..

But some people like liver and I don’t.
