Lots to see in Norfolk, not as much in Va Beach. The Norfolk Zoo is nice as is the Botanical Gardens with the neat boat ride! Take the harbor tour of the Navy yards and see the naval ships. It has a great narrative tour and the ferry boat has a snack bar and a place to get out of the sun. Visit the Chrysler Museum in downtown Norfolk with its fine art. Drive the Chesapeake Bay Bridge from Va Beach. Its an unforgettable experience! Lots of great seafood restaurants in the area. Its a great area to visit!!

Thanks for all the great suggestions!

Seafood sounds great, but we also enjoy all sorts Asian, Mexican, vegetarian, and just plain good home cooking. We love all kinds of live music. Anything historical or beautiful is wonderful.

We're back. Had a good time in Va. Beach. Perfect weather. Interesting sights in Norfolk and Portsmouth, especially the navy museum. Enjoyed some restautants, especially Croakers. That's a gem. Thanks for all the great ideas!
