My husband has just been offered a job with a company in the Sulfolk area. He has to live 20-30 miles from that town. He took the job and he will go next week. I won't until July. Right now he is working in Minnesota and is renting a room. We are so close that I don't know if he can find a room to rent. I was thinking he might just go ahead and rent a house although he won't have anything in it. I need help with areas 20-30 miles from Sulfolk. I would like a more rural area. WE live in the country now. We need to rent a home 3-4 bedrooms. I don't know if this area is a college town like in Minnesota but is there a possiblity to find a room for a few weeks. Is there any cheap motel/ hotels. We are not rich people and because of the ecomony in Michigan we have to move. We have to watch the money we do have. Help pleease

If you like country, you will love Suffolk! This area is slowly getting more citified, but there are still lots of homes with big acreage and people that farm and fish for a living.

Look into Isle of Wight, Suffolk and Smithfield. There are alot of rental properties right now because the housing market is slower. Not sure of your budget, but you should be able to find something that works with hubbys salary.

He is a locator so it isn't just one area. He was told he could live 20 -30 miles from Sulfolk. We are looking for a 3-4 bedroom between 1000-1350 if possible. I have already worked off the Craig List

Default Hotel/ Motel Norfolk or Sulfolk

My husband will be coming into Norfolk for a job Sunday night on the Amrak. Every penny counts. Please give me some suggestions of cheaper Hotel/ Motel in that area that he could at least stay a night or two while checking other things out. Does anyone know of any rooms to rent or hotels that may have weekly rates. I don't want him in a bad area that he could get robbed or anything but he doesn't need anything fancy. A bed and a TV. Sulfolk area would be better because he is suppose to work there. When you go on line it brings up the more expensive places.
