VIRGINIA BEACH: The Pentagon says Lance Cpl. Kelly E. C. Watters, 19, of Virginia Beach died June 11, from wounds suffered while supporting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

My heart goes out to his family for the loss of young Lance Corporal Watters.

I heard it on the news tonight and it's just heartbreaking. He was so young and on his second tour over there. My heart aches for his family.

My hubby has been over there for 1 yr and I'm constantly worried about him.

I hope they have a good support system.

I've got two close friends over there right now. I worry about them everyday and I don't know what I'd do if one didn't come back...

It is devastating to lose young men and women like that. Any man or woman to be lost is sad. Our son is 23 and stationed in Little Rock and we are happy that he isn't going there or hasn't been there yet. Our company has 3 contracts in that area for security personnel and our HR group makes a trip once a year to see them. I have issues going to Japan, I can't imagine having to go there.
