[LEFT]Although rained out this past year this has always been a fun event to take our children to. You can't beat the price, and free parking/ shuttle bus to boot. It's takes an amazing amount of volunteer effort to produce. If you are interested next year they are always looking for volunteers to help with the event .

Journey through the Haunted Forest

$1/person or half price in costume

If you dare, venture out after dark to experience a walk through the Haunted Forest (One of James City Counties signature family events.) for the fun, for the fright, for the things that go bump in the night - there are lots of horrific sights and sounds in the woods! Children 6 and younger, along with their parents, will especially enjoy Goblinville with its moonwalks, playground equipment and pumpkin patch hayride which travels through a maze of pumpkin faces and Nursery Rhyme Characters! Goblinville is also home to Frankenstein's Birthday Party which features a variety of hands-on arts and crafts activities and games, as well as the Fall Festive Family Area where the scarecrow stuffing class takes place at 6:30pm ($17/scarecrow).
Also look for the return of the Costume Contest! Pumpkin Bowling, arts and crafts, games and ghouls together create a night of frightful family fun! Teens, put your dancin' shoes on for Dracula's Dance Party featuring a DJ, dance floor, variety of hand-on activities, a gross guess, games and more!
After being watched and chased by unknown creatures in the Haunted Forest, you'll be hungry so visit the concessions and munch on something to eat. Better to munch than be munched! Don't forget your camera!
